About the Photographer
My name is John Redrup, and I have spent a lifetime exploring Florida's rivers, coastlines, and wild places. What began with fishing and diving evolved into a passion for wildlife and landscape photography, allowing me to experience and share the natural beauty of Florida and destinations throughout North America and Costa Rica.
Most of my photographs are the result of long hours in the field, waiting for the right combination of light, weather, and animal behavior. Sometimes nothing happens. Sometimes everything does.
I specialize in birds, wildlife, and natural landscapes, with a strong emphasis on authentic behavior, clean composition, and respect for the subjects I photograph. Many of my images are created from boats, shorelines, or remote locations where patience matters far more than speed. Rather than directing the scene, I prefer to let nature reveal it.
Every photograph is captured using professional Nikon equipment and carefully processed to remain faithful to the original scene. Each print is produced using premium archival materials chosen for exceptional color, detail, and longevity, creating artwork designed to be enjoyed for generations.
